TEMPORARY Electronics Technician- Entry Level: OSRAM SYLVANIA, A Siemens Company

This is a temporary employment assignment and the selected candidate will be payrolled through a temporary employment agency and will not be considered an employee of OSRAM SYLVANIA.

The selected candidate will be responsible for testing and failure analysis of electronic ballasts and solid state lighting products. Responsible for receiving warranty returns comprised of ballasts, LED power supplies and LED modules. Sort the returned material and stage for analysis. Enter the date code, model number, quantity of product received and failure analysis results into the field failure database. Cut the lead wire off the ballasts and scrap the ballasts and wire. Remove the asphalt potting material from the ballast. Move boxes that weigh up to 20 lbs.


The position requires strong technical knowledge. Candidate must be proficient in the use of electronic measurement equipment. Good problem solving skills. Good organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Good interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and in teams.
Experienced in use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required.

Minimum of Associates degree in electrical engineering or electronics is preferred. Failure analysis experience is a plus.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT EXPECTED WITH AN INDEFINATE END DATE. AS A TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE YOU WILL NOT BE AN EMPLOYEE OF OSRAM SYLVANIA BUT WILL BE PAYROLLED THROUGH A TEMPORARY AGENCY.
