Lead Security Architect - Irvine, CA
Position Description:
This individual will be responsible for assessing and supporting technical, administrative and physical controls on various regulations and/or standards. Responsible to work independently, and with teams of technical professionals, to provide security expertise, develop solutions and perform required functions, transversely with application and system environments, for the IT Audit & Compliance office. This position will fulfill the need for a knowledgeable and experienced security expert that can apply and execute security best practices across our applications and platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Security review and design of complex application and technology architectures
- Coordination of technical design/review activities with various segment and corporate groups
- Evaluation and maintenance of systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases
- Researching and recommendation/implementation of changes to procedures and systems to enhance security aligned with corporate policies
- Creation of incident response plans including coordination with appropriate departments and corporate
- Education of staff and departments to increase awareness of information security policies and practice
- Collaboration with outside consultants/vendors on security solutions, and assist in providing limited direction to technical personnel
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and manage time effectively
- Understanding of regulatory and security compliance areas, including: HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, ARRA and PCI
- Positions in this function develop and implement information security policies, standards and procedures to secure and protect data residing on systems.
- Work directly with user departments to implement procedures and systems for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or privileged electronic data.

- 5+ years of information technology experience with IT security architecture, practices and controls
- 2+ years Hands-on experience with any security products
- 2+ years Project management skills
- 2+ years Experience operating in an architecture security capacity role
Assets:
- Technical or professional certifications (CISA, CISSP) are a plus
- Post-graduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
