Job Description:

Roles:
In this position, you will need to provide guidance and leadership to a team of QA Engineers on the projects which the lead is assigned. The focus of this position is the overall delivery for technology solutions. Responsible for the successful delivery of a quality product for each project assigned. This individual will be responsible for providing status updates related to all projects assigned and will have the ultimate responsibility for ensuring tests are completed to the TDA standards with the prescribed time frames.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates and delegates the day-to-day activities of QA testers.
Mentors and trains new staff/contractors to include shadowing, providing technical guidance, encouraging testers to look at the "big picture" when testing.
Leads test case peer reviews for testers at all levels.
Attends technical and XFT meetings as assigned and provides direction on QA deliverables and tasks.
Offers technical guidance, identifies and communicates project and technical dependencies.
Identifies risks and prepares mitigation plans.
Provides accurate, complete, and timely status reporting estimates, and QA Entrance Criteria.
Works effectively with team/work group or those outside formal lines of authority to accomplish goals.
Works through issues in a timely fashion and makes every effort, including collaboration with other teams, to adhere to our promised sign off date.
Review Project Artifacts and sign-off as required by project or PLC.
Assist with the detailed planning, coordination and execution of test plans for QA projects.
Monitor and track testing effectiveness.
Serve as the SME regarding all testing activities for the line of business, provides deep subject knowledge and requirement clarification.
Responsible for the creation, maintenance, approvals/signoffs and publishing of detailed project test plans with all stakeholders.
Identification, monitoring, escalation and resolution of testing services related issues & risks.
Monitor all testing activities and ensure adherence to all testing services processes.
Attend Release meetings and provide updates as needed.
Confirms all test cases for the project/release are written per T2 QA standards, are peer reviewed, and are loaded into Test Director within the timelines given.
Runs all tests through Test Director and ensures all testing results are adequately documented.
Provides timely input to QA Lead/System Lead/Manager for all estimates.
Review Defects and status, final disposition report.
Use positive influence to engage business partners, individuals, teams or departments.
Continually research and evaluate new technologies and tools within the Information Technology field.
Evaluate and recommend enhancements to processes or systems.
Coordinate performance/load testing for each release.
Attend or chair weekly System Test Lead Meetings, reviewing projects with other System Leads and identifying testing resource or hardware needs.
Participate in the implementation of releases and projects as pertains to assigned system.

Experience:
Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years experience in software testing and/or software development required.
Extensive knowledge of online brokerage system tools required.
Extensive knowledge of all Trading Systems required including Equities, Mutual Funds, and Options.
Experience with the Investment Advisory business strongly preferred.
Experience with Quick TestPro preferred.
Knowledge of HP Quality Center preferred.
Demonstrates a solid understanding product lifecycles as well as how technical systems work and interact.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving/decision making skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance.
Sense of urgency and commitment to providing the best support possible to both internal and external clients.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organization well as solid facilitation skills.
Must posses a strong understanding of how various systems and applications interact.
Financial services experience strongly preferred.
Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Superior client service skills.

Education:
Associates degree or work toward Bachelor's degree in business or technical field required. Bachelor's strongly preferred.
