Configuration Management Specialist (004464:NSD)

Job Description:


Responsible for configuration management planning, control and documentation. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. Responsible for configuration planning. Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation. Responsible for configuration change control. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Responsible for configuration status accounting. Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration. Responsible for configuration audits. Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met. Supports quality assurance process audits.

Required Skills
Bachelor's degree and five years related CM experience.

Desired focus: Experience with cable and wire harness fabrication to include 12 pair cabling to EIA530 and RS449, Twinax, coax, CAT 5E, single and multimode fiber optic cables, and the testing and certifying of cables in accordance with current Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) workmanship and quality standards.
