- Responsible for implementing and supporting security operations in a multi-vendor, enterprise-class networked environment.
- Work with other security operations entities internal and external to the agency.
- Assist the team in the design and implementation of network infrastructure required for the enterprise SOC and security-related tools.
- Evaluate, design, and implement security tools such as SSL inspection proxy (Bluecoat), IDS/IPS (Cisco, Enterasys, Sourcefire), log analysis (Loglogic, Splunk, Logrhythm).
- Assist the team in performing security assessments and analyses, composing security policy and procedure, network and systems configuration, operations, and management.
Qualifications:
- Must have Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Experience with incident management and operations workflows is required.
- Must have systems engineering experience relating to security operational tools such as patch management, host-based IDS, network admission control.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Network certifications (CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP) preferred.
- Security Certifications (CISSP, SANS) considered a plus.
- Systems certifications (RHCE, MCSE) considered a plus.
