Clinical Data Manager



RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The main responsibility of this position is to manage the data management tasks requested by clients. Candidate must be able to take a clinical trial from beginning to end.
• Develop data management plans including required supporting documentation. Manage development of the specification documents for database tables, data entry screens, data derivations and edit check programming.
• Complete/manage testing of database and edit checks. Review data, produce queries and review listings as needed to clean study data.
• Interface with the client, sites and monitors as needed to manage the data collection and cleaning. Management of projects to ensure completion of assignments within established timelines.
• Need excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills. Have the ability to work independently while generating quality project deliverables.
• Willingness to travel as project dictates. Need the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Job Requirements

• Medical device experience would be strongly preferred, especially since we are looking for someone who can design the CRF’s, test the database, etc.
• 3-5 years experience
• Experience creating CRF's
• Database set-up and testing
• Create edit check specifications and test data
• Write data management plan, CRF completion instructions, data entry instructions
• Manual review of study data, review with edits, write queries and integrate queries
• Must be able to work with little supervision
• Must be able to work with Clients
• Event/medication coding helpful but not required
• RN or B.A./B.S. in a science related/health field is required
• Experience with a medical device company, pharmaceutical company, CRO or as a consultant in the medical products industry
