POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Patient Care Associate is a member of the patient care team, which is supervised by the Registered Nurse. A PCA provides direct care to patients of all ages under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The Patient Care Technician assists with the activities of daily living, provides basic care and support for patients, performs phlebotomy and EKGs, and assists in the maintenance of a safe, clean and supportive care environment. Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent required. At least one (1) year experience as a Nursing Assistant. Medical terminology is preferred. Formal Nursing Assistant training required; formal Patient Care Technician experience preferred. Current California Nursing Assistant certification preferred and BLS card required. California State DHS Phlebotomy Certification required (or obtained upon unit assignment). Min rate $17.52
