Responsibilities: Collects patient health data, assesses health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans; maintains medical records; reports abnormal lab values, if applicable. In the Operating Room Uses, sterilizes, maintains, reprocesses instruments and supplies Carries out some of the following: Maintain operative records Serves as Circulating RN or Scrubbing RN - working knowledge of procedure performed, necessary instrumentation and supplies
Post-Operation
Qualifications: A current valid Alaska RN license with a current BLS certification Behavior and answers to role related questions demonstrate experience and preparation for the role Must meet general RN and unit specific competency requirements within established timeframes. - Previous nursing experience preferred
- Prior surgery or critical care experience preferred
- Must be able to take call (including nights and weekends)
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
