Job Title: Plant Operator (Silane)

FLSA Status: Paid Hourly, but Full Time Employee

BASIC FUNCTION

This position is accountable for the safe and efficient operation and monitoring of process equipment and semi-automatic systems.

NATURE AND SCOPE

The Silane Department is responsible for producing high purity silane from metallurgical grade silicon.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Monitor and operate process equipment by following written procedures to ensure personal safety and product quality.

· Operate a DCS control system (e.g. Fisher ProVox / DeltaV / Yokogawa) involving all aspects of plant operation.

· Manage chemical inventory levels

· Lock & Tag out equipment

· Clean, prepare and repair equipment

· Clean and maintain equipment work area.

· Monitor chemical inventories and maintain them at acceptable levels.

· Successful completion and maintenance of the company Operator Certification and Emergency Squad Certification annually.

Work 12 hour rotating shift schedule, alternating between 12 hour days and 12 hour nights; also requires weekends, holidays and overtime as scheduled.

Other duties as assigned by supervision.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
