Surgical Technologists--Scrub Techs--OR Tech/Management: American Endoscopy Services, Inc.

AES is currently seeking a Surgical Tech, Scrub Tech, or Operating Room Tech to work at our Boise ID or Brick NJ location. The Service Specialist oversees daily operation of our laparoscopic support program. The Hands-on position will include working with management, preparation of video equipment and instruments for scope procedures, troubleshooting during case, and instrument processing. The position requires strong clinical experience in OR with working knowledge of laparoscopic and endoscopic surgical cases. Any experience with running surgical board is helpful. We prefer OR experience with strong communication skills, a customer service attitude, and problem resolution experience is required.

Primary Responsibilities of Program

• Communicate with the surgical team before, during, and after the case to determine specific needs related to the services being provided by AES
• Assist the operating room staff in preparing the operative suite for surgery by gathering and placing all required laparoscopic/endoscopic equipment and instrumentation
• Troubleshoot video equipment and surgical instruments before, during, and after procedures
• Clean and maintain reusable laparoscopic/endoscopic instruments and prepare instrumentation for sterilization

Job Qualifications

• Requires 1 year minimum (2 years or more preferred) experience in operating room with familiarity with laparoscopic/endoscopic procedures.
• Must be a team-oriented professional with a positive, customer service attitude who is able to endure stressful situations and a fast-paced, multi-tasking atmosphere.
