Duties and Qualifications

SunTrust is currently seeking a Client Advisor for our Private Wealth Management office in Brunswick, Georgia.

The primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of affluent/wealthy medical and legal professionals and practices in the Brunswick and St Simons markets. Proactively profiles assigned clients to uncover all financial needs using the STI consultative sales process and identifies and introduces all appropriate financial solutions and STI specialists to the client to deepen client relationships. Utilizes and introduces the comprehensive suite of Wealth Management products with particular focus on Credit, Deposits, Investments, Capital Markets, Treasury Management, and Estate Planning. Develops a client relationship plan for all 'High Priority' clients as outlined in the defined service standards and ensures that service standards for all client relationships are established and met. Maintains updated relationship history to support ongoing relationship expansion activities. Coordinates relationships with other STI product specialists, including investments, trust, mortgage, insurance, etc, using a team approach in delivering solutions to client's financial needs and to increase wallet share with assigned clients. Abides by STI client segment definitions by facilitating the migration of clients to the appropriate Client Advisor on the team as well as makes referrals of new business opportunities to the appropriate line of business to ensure clients are in the right delivery channel. Participates fully in all components of the line of business sales culture. These components normally include: attending sales meetings, joint calling with team members and management, abiding by sales reporting guidelines, completing relationship plans and calling activity updates and sales call 'debriefs'. Acquires new clients through targeted prospecting, strong relationships with clients, referral sources, and Centers of Influence. Also attends all sales training courses necessary to be able to sell the full spectrum of products and services to clients. Maintains proper licenses including Series 7, Series 66 and Insurance, and ensures that appropriate continuing education requirements are met where needed.


Minimum Requirements:

- Minimum Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of lending and relationship management experience.
- Demonstrates basic to solid investment knowledge and the ability to deliver basic Financial Planning via Financial Profiles Forecaster software.
- Strong to very strong Credit Knowledge to personally deliver standard commercial credit and consumer credit to assigned clients.
- Possesses very strong to excellent Deposit/General Banking knowledge to personally deliver standard bank products such as deposits, credit cards, mortgages, etc to assigned clients per the client relationship plan.
- Basic knowledge of all Wealth management products and services, strong Sales and Client management skills with the ability to sell a wide range of products and services and very strong Client Service Skills.
- Assertive in asking for business, developing leads and developing referral sources which includes Centers of Influence.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- Well organized and flexible; able to adapt to change as well as determine and focus on top priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Preferred Requirements:

- Word, Excel and Power Point skills preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business major preferred.
- More than 5 years credit experience.
- Solid to excellent knowledge of STI Credit policy.
- 5+ years experience working with this client segment as a Client Advisor.

Job Grade: 48. The successful candidate's experience and skill set will determine the appropriate grade level.
