We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Litigation Analyst

(This position can be remote)

This position is responsible for auditing legal invoices to determine compliance with guidelines and reasonableness and appropriateness of the charges; preparing reports for Third Party Litigation and law firms relative to audit findings and payment recommendations. Position has clear and distinct accountability for business results.

Job Responsibilities

- Ongoing development, implementation and oversight of vendor management within Third Party Litigation.

- Primary responsibility for management of our internal billing system database, including training of internal employees and external vendors. Maintain vendor database, including regular updates to contact and rate information.

- Review all requests for rate increases from vendors and negotiate requests based on quality of work and prevailing market rate.

- Manage the appeals of any billing adjustments. Negotiate with outside counsel as required.

- Prepare analysis of audit results to provide assessments of vendors relative to cost ratio and performance in order to make recommendations regarding use of vendors based on area of practice for Third Party Litigation Team and other business partners.

- Accountable for approving approximately $1M in invoices per month.

- Cross functional interaction with business partners, including First Party Litigation Team and Finance.

- Assist with special projects on various issues as needed.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Insurance or related field; Preference given to JD or paralegal certification

2. Five years experience in legal bill auditing.

3. Demonstrated customer service orientation.

4. Ability to comprehend and accurately perform mathematical functions. Intermediate Math skills; test to be administered.

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

6. Must have strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to work independently to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

7. PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
