Job Description Software Engineer - 1st Shift ResponsibilitiesWorking independently and under limited direction the candidate will provide technical software solutions for a wide range of complex software engineering problems. The individual will use judgment, creativity, and sound technical knowledge to obtain, recommend, and implement robust and scalable solutions. Assignments will include development of new software solutions as well as upgrades and enhancements to existing solutions. Principal Duties
- Primary responsibilities include test automation and software design development, and support.
- Research, evaluation and development of software solutions in order to implement new processes and methods
- Developing new software engineering methods or processes, re-evaluating existing processes, designing simulation and test criteria, and verifying functionality and performance

- Ability to self-direct, work independently, and collaborate with a team
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task effectively while working with tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Experience and EducationQualified candidate should possess a B.S. or M.S. in computer science, computer engineering, or related degree. The ideal candidate should have experience with .Net (VB or C#) or Java. Experience in scripting, database management, networking, OS administration, and data acquisition interfacing is also desirable. |
