FACILITY ENGINEER / FACILITY MANAGER

POSITION OPEN AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATION:

* Sterling / Dulles, Virginia

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Facility Engineer / Facility Manager responsible for improving the day to day operations, maintenance and engineering activities for major commercial or institutional facilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • 3+ years experience with HVAC, control, electrical systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 3+ years facility engineering experience including building operation and maintenance, project planning, development of project scope definitions, supervision and management experience of building construction and/or tenant improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of clean room HVAC design and ability to troubleshoot and direct corrective actions and repairs associated with HVAC
  • Knowledge in HVAC, boiler, chiller and cooling tower, and combustion air.
  • Knowledge of city, county, state and federal environmental regulations, OSHA Standards, EPA and Clean Air Act and state environmental protection regulations.
  • Prior experience in negotiating with environmental authorities and regulators.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical engineering and instrumentation technical skills and ability to translate mechanical/electrical engineering principles into real-world equipment and construction practices.
  • Strong knowledge of heat transfer, gas and fluid mechanics and process control principles.
  • AutoCAD knowledge/use highly desirable.
  • Ideal candidates must possess the ability to direct facility and maintenance staff in repairs, upkeep, and improvements of major facilities and equipment assets.
