Water Technician - with some mechanical experience: Six Flags

Job Summary: Maintain the highest standards of safety possible providing a safe, fun, and clean environment in the Water Park. Safely operate and maintain the aquatic attractions within the guidelines set by Six Flags and the Massachusetts Health Department. This position is responsible for providing superior Guest Service while enforcing all park policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Thoroughly understand the swimming pool codes

· Periodically test the pool-water and make any necessary adjustments in water chemistry to meet the standards

· Maintain the filtration/circulation systems, including regular backwashing of the filter media and cleaning of the hair strainers and skimmer baskets

· Maintain the general pool area, i.e., to make any necessary minor repairs to insure the safety of the public

· Take appropriate steps in the event of a shut-down due to weather or other unplanned conditions

· Comply with all guidelines set forth by Six Flags New England and the Massachusetts Health Department

· Performing daily opening, operating, and closing procedures

· Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

· Some machanical knowledge preferred

· Previous background in pool maintenance preferred

· Willingness to learn about pool maintenance

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
