Channel Marketing Manager

The Channel Marketing Manager role is a full-time position at EMC in the Content Management & Archiving (CM&A) group. The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, developing and executing channel (reseller and distributor) marketing programs to further strengthen CM&A channel partner sales in diverse geographies and markets.

Responsibilities include working cross-functionally and coordinating with global teams to build stronger partner sales and marketing opportunities as well as assisting with the process of partner on-boarding and enablement to support overall channel program goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Translate CM&A channel sales goals and market opportunity analysis into actionable channel marketing plans and marketing programs.
· Collaborate closely with product marketing and channel sales management to assess and prioritize the global market opportunity for products sold through the channel.
· Create and manage channel marketing plan, to support product and sales goals.
· Plan and execute channel marketing campaigns with and for channel partners to create awareness and generate demand for the CM&A product portfolio.
· Identify and deploy multiple marketing vehicles (i.e. online and in-person events, channel newsletters, online communities) to provide channel partners with sales and marketing enablement materials.
· Leverage co-op and market development funds with partners to implement targeted marketing programs.
· Work in conjunction with international marketing teams to ensure that all programs have the opportunity to be applied to different theatres.
· Interface with PR, analyst and customer success teams, as needed, to review, develop and coordinate content for PR and analyst activities in local markets.
· Evaluate, track and report on success of channel marketing programs.
· Solicit and manage contracts with third-party vendors to execute effective marketing programs and campaigns on-time and within budget.
· Identify and solicit partner participation in EMC events, sales meetings, and industry events.

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should have a BS or equivalent in business, MBA preferred, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:
· 5+ years experience with partner or channel marketing programs, with preference for experience with channel reseller programs
· Solid industry/market/technology knowledge
· Strong operational command of the business
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Proven strategic planning abilities and ability to problem solve
· Ability to influence others to achieve results
· Strong organizational and project management skills, results-driven
· The initiative to work independently in a self-directed environment
· A passion to establish and maintain positive relationships with partners
· Creativity, enthusiasm and a desire for continuous improvement

POSITION DURATION & ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Full-time
· Up to 20% travel required.
