GIS Support Technician

Overview:

Ft. Lee Environmental Manage Office is looking for a full time assistant to develop and maintain a GIS system. This position is PartTime transitioning into Fulltime.



Responsibilities:

Experience with ArcGis 9.x to include:

  • making and editing maps and populating attribute tables
  • creating and using shapfiles and geodatabases
  • re-projecting data; converting to CAD
  • developing and maintaining metadata


Qualifications:

Experience with portable GPS units, up to and including Trimble backpack units, and post data processing is required.

Some familiarity with ArcPad, ArcIMS and other ESRI products is preferred.
