Eskaton Care Center Greenhaven, a 148 bed SNF in Sacramento (Greenhaven/Pocket area) has a need for an experienced Director of Nursing. Job Description:
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall administration and management of nursing services; planning, organizing, developing and implementing quality nursing service programs; for the ongoing professional development of licensed and non-licensed staff; and maintaining compliance with DPH licensing guidelines. Must have the ability to maintain excellent interpersonal relations with internal staff and external vendors.
This position reports directly to the Administrator of the facility. Positions reporting to the DON are: Clinical Unit Managers, Charge Nurses, MDS Coordinator, Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Restorative Nursing Aides, Central Supply/Staffing Clerk, and appropriate support staff.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have graduate of nursing, bachelor’s degree (in management or health administration desirable), masters preferred. Will have a valid California RN and BSN license plus minimum 3 years prior DON experience (prefer 5 yrs).
