Business Analyst, Senior: Genesis10

Genesis10 is seeking a high level Senior Business Analyst for a major client in Charlotte, NC on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:
- Document use cases, process flows, requirements, designs, and issues as required. Write detailed functional design documentation, BRD's, HLD, LLD.
- Will act as a liaison between the business and IT technical resources. Gather input from a variety of sources including analysis results and feedback from the business and technology community. Review project deliverables for completeness and quality and compliance with established project standards

Deliverables:
- Must be able to ascertain the true business goal by asking what and why, and translate that into specifications that are clear and understandable to the team that will implement them.
- Responsible for ensuring that the requirements are being met by reviewing output from each stage of the system life cycle, i.e. design, testing, etc.
- Responsible for interpreting horizontal business strategies and operational needs into technology solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness. Provide business and technical leadership and work with the IT Project Manager team to ensure that projects progress on expected timelines and alert project team to risks and issues related to IT solutions.
- Communicate IT solutions and designs to a broad audience and facilitate the ongoing gathering of business requirements and ensure that solutions meet business objectives.

Job Requirements:
Required Skills/Experience
- Strengths in developing functional requirements, as well as providing options and solutions.
- Ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions across multiple groups and document clear, accurate and testable requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time.
- Above average English communication skills encompassing both written and oral, with an ability to discuss very technical issues with non technical people.
- Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- 5 or more years of related analyst experience including, but not limited to academia, consulting, financial services or information technology industries.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Strong understanding of project development methodologies and the methodologies accepted by the company.
- Strong organizational, presentation and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Excellent proven analytical, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Superior abilities to effectively negotiate and facilitate problem resolution.
- Able to interact with all levels of executives and employees, both technical and business, junior and senior.
- Involvement in full project life cycle and delivery in a complex architecture helpful.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience as a BA in the financial services industry.
- Must be familiar with business requirement document, use cases, testing process.
- Experience in analyzing dataand summarizing for management consumption.
- Experiencewith testing is also ideal.

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Working experience in a financial institution/brokerage environment desired.
