Consultant SW Eng-Fibre Channel/Kernel/C/C++

EMC is looking for experienced engineers to join our Network Attached Storage Platform Development team in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The team’s primary responsibility is to design, develop, and maintain NAS systems which are built by integrating custom Intel servers running our embedded DART kernel, along with EMC’s CLARiiON and Symmetrix RAID storage arrays and a Linux based management station. Team members are assigned tasks like developing FC / SAS device drivers, getting DART & DART drivers to run on new hardware, designing HA solutions, making enhancements in our I/O Storage stack and kernel, and setting up and debugging prototype systems in the lab. Team members are also involved in debugging and developing solutions for customer issues.

The successful candidate will demonstrate competence in one or more of the following areas:

· Full SW Development lifecycle – experience with development, test, documentation, and analysis of complex system software.
· C & C++ programming
· SCSI / Fibre Channel / SAS protocol expertise.
· Arium and/or Finisar analyzer experience
· Kernel and/or device driver development: Linux, UNIX, or embedded systems preferred.
· Low level understanding of Intel CPU and system architecture.
· Strong debugging skills including dump analysis: GDB expertise preferred.
· File systems, network file system protocols (CIFS, NFS, DFS), networking interfaces, TCP/IP and RAID storage algorithms.
