Occupational Therapist:

Eskaton, a leading senior services company in Northern California for more than 35 years is seeking qualified candidates in the roles of Occupational Therapistin our Eskaton Care Center Fair Oaks, Eskaton Care Center Greenhaven and Eskaton Care Center Manzanita

The Occupational Therapist provide direct patient care and assists patients in learning activities that will help them return to daily living.

Some essential job functions would be:

  • Provides patient treatments which meet patients needs and uses treatment knowledge in accordance with Eskaton Rehab Services clinical procedures.
  • Maintains state-of-the-art body of knowledge in areas of clinical expertise through seminars, professional journals and peers.
  • Writes accurate, complete and clear documentation in accordance with Eskaton Rehab Services, regulatory, licensing, payor and accrediting requirements.
  • Communicates effectively with discharge planners.

Requirements For Occupational Therapist
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy and a current California Occupational Therapy Registration/State license as required and CPR certification.
  • 2 - 3 years experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment or equivalent preferred. Rehab experience required.
  • Experience in adult neurologic, cardiac, and or general rehabilitation is preferred.
  • Must have knowledge in occupational therapy evaluations and treatments.
  • Must have an understanding of the principals of physical modalities employed in occupational therapy.
  • Also must have knowledge of the use of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aides, assistive and resistive devices and training.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must.
