Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform reconciliations of premium payments and membership reports to identify discrepancies and follow through to ensure outstanding balances are collected and/or resolved
- Enter membership, group, billing and rate transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Coordinate and communicate with all internal and external customers that interact or that are impacted by decisions affecting revenue, membership and eligibility
- Utilize multiple reports to research, resolve, and perform regular maintenance to ensure the accuracy of enrollment, eligibility, billing transactions and commissions
- Review and validate premium billing statements for groups and individuals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Responsible for medical and ancillary product premium billing
- Interact with customers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies
- Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function
- Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications
- Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed
- Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables
- May also include quality assurance and audit of billing activities

- High school education or equivalent experience is required
- 1 year of data entry experience is required
- Must be able to type 35 WPM
- 6000 KPH Alpha numeric typing is required
- Experience using Windows based applications is required
- Any combination of Billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, broker commissions, accounting and cash receipts experience is preferred
- Client facing interaction experience is highly preferred
