| | |  |  | Credit Union Representative - Head Teller Burlington, NC Job Description : Department: Credit Union Salary Grade: 3 *Applications for this position will be accepted through 9/11/09. Hours: Monday - Friday (8:15 - 5:15) and Occasional Saturdays (8:45 - 1:15) - Promote financial products/services, for example: Credit Cards, CDs, IRAs, Loans) to consumer and small business customers.
- Meet and/or exceed member service goals.
- Having a working knowledge of governmental regulations relating to financial institutions, for example: Reg CC, Reg D, etc.).
- Extensive cash handling, which requires ability to perform advanced math functions.
- Contact with the public, necessitating the ability to present a professional image.
- Interact comfortably and confidently with the public and demonstrate the initiative to initiate dialogue.
- Ability to properly read and write well enough to communicate in both oral and written form.
- Knowledge of retail policies and procedures in order to perform the essential duties.
- Take initiative and utilize sound judgment in decision-making and diplomacy and tact in problem resolution.
- Work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management.
- Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
- Have a developed rapport with the customer base, greet by/use name, have knowledge of account ownership, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude.
- Act with confidence by answering or finding the answers to customer questions and finding solutions to customer issues.
- Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business confidential.
- Follow the Proponent Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, maintaining ethical behavior at all times.
- Needs to have flexibility in scheduling.
Job Requirements : Requires High School Diploma or equivalent w/1-3 years of experience. Preferred Skills: - Minimum of 2 years of customer service/sales experience in a financial service industry.
- Ability to promote credit and loan services.
