Candidate must have an Accounting or Finance understanding.
The Report Developer/Analyst will work as a member of the Business Intelligence and System Integration (BISI) team within the IT department. The BISI team is responsible for all report development and assisting the business with data requests and analysis. Report development requirements will span across multiple CIS and Operational systems and will include integration of data from multiple sources.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions.
- Gather requirements from business users
- Technical writing and documentation Report development using Microsoft’s SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- ETL using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Maintain data marts of extracted data
- Conceptual, logical and physical data modeling
- Develop optimized stored procedures
- Implement databases in Microsoft SQL Server 2005
- Tuning databases and systems for peak performance
Required experience and attributes:
- At least 3 years of experience in software development and database design, with emphasis on the SQL Server 2005 BI stack (primarily SSRS and SSIS)
- Solid experience with MS SQL Server development (stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, query optimization)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other vendor CRM platforms
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server administration (security, performance tuning, index strategies, configuration options)
- Ability to successfully interact at all levels with internal and external clients
- Experience with web and browser based applications and technologies
- Experience with project management
- Attention to detail and has a “data stewardship” attitude
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to write stored procedures and complex SSIS packages
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, especially pivot tables, reports, and charts
- Develops strong working relationships and drives change
- Self motivated and a high degree of intellectual curiosity
- Demonstrated organizational skills & ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Desired experience and attributes:
- Experience with Business Objects, Cognos, Crystal Reports, or other reporting and business intelligence platforms
- Exposure to SQL Server 2008
- Familiarity with .NET a plus
