Customer Service / Showroom Sales: Rhode Island Tile

We are a retail / wholesale distributor of ceramic tile and stone products that has been in business for over 56 years. Our showroom and warehouse are located in the central part of Cranston, Rhode Island. We currently have six customer service / showroom sales agents, and we need to add one more person to our team orientated company. Duties would include the processing of orders over the telephone and from the fax machine, as well as the servicing of wholesale contractors and retail customers in our showroom. This is a full time position with a day off on every other Friday. Our business hours are Monday - Friday from 8am-4:30pm, and Saturdays from 9am-3pm.

Our office and showroom is a fast paced busy environment, and potential candidates would need to be proficient at multi-tasking. Our order processing requires accuracy, speed, and attention to detail. Showroom sales would require working with our customer's input into colors and ideas while designing living areas with ceramic tile, slate, marble, granite, limestone, and glass mosics. This is an eclectic position, and candidates need to be able to communicate effectively and clearly with both retail home owners, and ceramic tile contractors or home builders. Experience in the ceramic tile or flooring industry is a plus, but it is not a requirement. We can provide training and educatation in the cermic tile and stone business.
