SUMMARY: Directs financial activities for the company as well as its relationship with the Colorado Division of Gaming and other regulatory agencies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned.
Oversees Revenue Audit Supervisor, Accounts Payable and G/L Accountant. Directs the staff in providing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper controls and to ensure adequate gaming controls.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages 3 subordinate supervisors plus an accountant who supervise a total of 10 team members in the Accounting department, 8 drop team members and 42 cage team members. Also responsible for the meter readers from an outside vendor. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; performs performance appraisals; rewards and disciplines employees; resolves problems, and addresses complaints.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from 4-year college or university or 2 years related experience, or equivalent of education and experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Colorado Key Gaming License, Certified Public Accountant License (not mandatory).

Should be able to adapt well to the casino environment involving large numbers of people, and to loud and continuous noise levels. Must also be able to handle the concept of persons occupying an establishment for the purpose of gambling, drinking and eating for long periods of time.
