Summary: Interview vendors via telephone to obtain an accurate understanding of the type, cause and nature of a failure and whether or not it qualifies for coverage per the terms of the warranty contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for gathering and recording accurate data regarding warranty service requests including higher severity claims and heating and air conditioning claims.

• Enter information from contract holders and vendors with regard to the type, cause and nature of a reported system failure.

• Ensure all necessary information is collected in order to accurately determine warranty coverage per the contractual terms.

• Communicates approved and denied claim adjustments to our contract holders and the associated vendors.

• Assists the contract holder in understanding the coverage determination, the contract holder’s options with regard to instructing a technician on how to proceed and if needed, the collection of their claim cost reimbursement.

• Determine if a contract holder’s demand for further review of a refused claim adjustment should be escalated to a Lead Service Associate and/or Service Supervisor.

• Data Entry work including entry of applications, claim invoice processing, and warranty payments.

• Weekend On-Call responsibilities and rotating weekend shifts are required.

Education and/or Experience
Two years of service experience required.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as warranty contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Ability to use the Internet effectively, custom warranty database system (CSS), MS Outlook and MS Excel Spreadsheet software.
