Design Engineer

Job Description:
Seeking an entry level Design Engineer to work in the Overhead Line Department located in our Jackson, Michigan office. The successful candidate will be learning to design overhead transmission lines as well as their supporting structures and foundations and related facilities. Requirements for this position include a BSCE or BSEE with a minimum 2.7 GPA and EIT registration. The ideal coursework for a BSCE candidate includes structural analysis, concrete, steel, soils, foundations, surveying, grading and drainage. The ideal coursework for a BSEE candidate would include an emphasis in either electric utility and/or industrial power classes. Some designing, drafting, or engineering work experience is desirable (may have been on a co-op or intern basis). The ideal candidate is interested in consulting engineering and the electric utility industry. Some project travel is expected with this position.
