The Sleep Diagnostic Technician performs routine and intermediate polysomnographic testing and technical assessments. Job tasks and responsibilities include:


Performs routine and intermediate level polysomnograms.
Demonstrates familiarity with advanced technical analysis of polysomnographic procedures.
Performs technical interpretations of routine and intermediate level procedures by both hand and computer analysis.
Coordinates and organizes supplies, equipment and instruments needed for Sleep Lab procedures.
Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
Orients and mentors new staff members.
Practices proper care, usage and maintenance of the equipment.
Orients and mentors staff.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
