Eden Medical Center is a 387-bed, not-for-profit medical center with approximately 2000 employees at our two campuses. Responsible for the administration of the Customer Concern/Complaint, Quality/Risk Event (QRE) & Lost Valuable processes for the Medical Center. Provides primary administrative support to the Risk Management Department. Assists the Risk Management Coordinator and the Executive Director of Professional Services with departmental requirements and supports the goals and objective of the department. Interfaces with all medical center departments, physicians and patients.
Manages the processing and follow-up of all confidential customer concerns/complaints in a timely manner. Provides support to hospital management and Medical Staff regarding this process as needed. Manages the processing and follow-up of all confidential Quality Risk Events (QRE) in a timely manner. Reviews and codes all QRE entries and identifies areas of potential Medical Center liability or breeches in safety. Provides support to hospital management regarding QRE processes as needed. Manages the processing and follow-up of all reported Lost Valuable claims in a timely manner. Provides support to hospital management regarding the Lost Valuable processes as needed. Communicates with patients and/or their family members in a timely & courteous manner. In coordination with the Risk Management Coordinator, assists with the timely completion of the Confidential Event Investigation Forms (CEIF). Includes assisting in the investigation of events. In coordination with the Risk Management Coordinator, conducts the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) follow-up. Works with hospital management to obtain results of action items identified in RCAs. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with Medical Staff, co-workers, hospital management and other personnel. This position is part time 28 hours/week. Candidate must be willing and flexible to work part time hours.
Minimum 2 years experience with Midas or other data management system Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service position Minimum 1 year working with the Microsoft Office Suite Preferred experience: Minimum 2 years managing Quality/Risk Event (or other risk incident) reporting process preferred Previous experience in providing instruction/training to groups Medical Terminology coursework preferred PLEASE APPLY USING THIS BUTTON ONLY
