Our fast-paced, high-expectation environment seeks a talented National Account Manager for the Food/Drug/Dollar accounts. This position is ideally suited to an individual with 5-10 years of sales experience working with national food & drug chains at the corporate level, selling a consumer technology product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for implementing the sales and marketing plans for the entire portfolio of Imation products (storage, accessories and Consumer Electronics) for all of the Imation multiple brands (Imation, Memorex, TDK Life on Record and Xtreme Mac)
  • Responsible for up to 15 National and Regional Drug/Food/Dollar accounts through a network of independent manufacturer’s representatives/brokers
  • Manage the accounts pricing file, implement price increases and current financial templates
  • Develop and maintain product and industry expertise in all relevant product groups and industries
  • Develop and maintain vertical relationships at all major accounts with account buyers as well as with inventory planning, replenishment, supply chain management, store operations, marketing, and category management planning to understand account needs and grow the business
  • Lead an internal cross-functional team of indirect reports including Sales Support, Customer Service and Customer Operations

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of direct experience within the consumer goods/consumer technology industry. This position will require you to implement strategic sales plans with major Food/Drug/Dollar chains. The ideal candidate will also have experience directing independent manufacturer’s representatives/brokers. Must have experience selling to major food & drug chains.

  • 5-10 years of sales experience in Consumer Packages Goods
  • Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience managing and successfully selling Food/Drug/Dollar accounts
  • Solid presentation, (Excel/PowerPoint/Word expertise) verbal and written communication skills and strong business acumen within the consumer products sector
  • Strong negotiating skills and capacity
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills and proven ability to manage multiple accounts
  • Skilled at working cross functionally with other parts of the business in a matrix environment
  • Ability to set policies, but remain flexible when customer conditions require
  • Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Position is located at Headquarters in Oakdale , Minnesota and will require the ability to travel up to 50%
