Primary Function
To test, trouble-shoot, repair and calibrate new, returned and completed electronic and electrical assemblies and controls, applying knowledge of electrical and electronic principals and theories in locating and resolving faults and malfunctions. Prepare completed and tested units for final box assembly.

Working Procedures and/or Responsibility Assigned
The following are the usual major job duties but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent, nor the question being raised on the proper rate of pay for the assignment.

1. Responsible for performing voltage, time-delay, hi-pot, communications, and other testing, on new and completed assemblies by using such equipment as ac/dc testers and meters, oscilloscopes, p.c. based test equipment, small hand and power tools, and oven. Assures test results are within tolerances as defined on product specification sheets. Perform quality-level testing towards achieving goal of zero defects.

2. Trouble-shoot new, returned and completed assemblies, locate faults and problems, and make necessary repairs and adjustments to connections and components.

3. Calibrate or recalibrate completed assemblies, assuring correct settings and tolerances as defined on product specification sheets.

4. As may be required, ensure correct coding or serial number on completed assemblies, perform final boxing assembly of completed units, and prepare completed units for shipping department.

5. Perform visual inspections of new and completed assemblies to ensure proper placements and connections, making adjustments and changes as necessary.

6. Document and complete required test and analysis reports, status, and fail information for quality control. Retain test and analysis documents, and print reports or other documents required by customer or company.

7. Review schedule sheet on a daily basis to determine required testing and repair needs.

8. Check and replenish work-bench bins for adequate supplies of required components. Notify stock room of shortages and parts that are required.

9. Assist in instructing and training new or other employees on methods, systems and use of equipment.

10. Identify testing, calibration, and assembly problems as necessary, and notify Supervisor of problems or any other issues.

11. Perform duties in accordance with the Coral Springs Quality, Safety and Environmental Systems.

To resolve shop and customer problems, perform tests on equipment, support new product endeavors. Frequent

Education Requirements and Experience Requirements
* Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or Military Technical School required. Must demonstrate ability to read, interpret and work from test reports, schematics and product specification sheets, and to follow testing and calibration instructions. Strong working knowledge of electrical and electronic theories, trouble-shooting and assemblies required. Demonstrated ability to use small hand and power tools, and soldering equipment, previous experience with p.c. based testing equipment is preferred. Excellent hand and eye coordination is needed, along with good communication and interpersonal skills. Certified to IPC-A-610 Standard. Some formal classroom work in computers or equivalent job experience is required.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and position equipment for installation up to 50 lbs. Requires wearing foot and wrist grounding straps in production area.

Must be permanent resident of US - no sponsorship of any kind available.
