Sr Marketing Manager: Micrel Semiconductor

Job Description:
Primary responsibility will be to manage and direct the development of company market requirements for a complete business line such as Interface/Power Driver/Linear/Control products. Responsible for assessment of existing and potential markets, coordination of technical product development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities and product launch. Activities may include technical sales support; product advertising/promotion; planning, developing, and implementing multiple channel programs. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Job Requirements:
Must have minimum 15 years of experience in the Power Semiconductor market and/or Power System application areas, and know linear/interface product and market issues. Consumer electronics background is preferred, but industrial market experience is also needed. Must be familiar with all forecast tools, have modeling capability, and P/L experience is a plus. Must be willing to travel to customers (30% travel time should be expected) and determine real market/competitive situation. Strategic position of power/interface products is a must. Ideal candidate should be able to operate independently with minimum supervision. BSEE is required. MSEE is preferred.
