The Emergency Center averages roughly 58,000 patient visits annually. The high acuity of the patients provides a wide range of diagnosis, both adult and pediatric in this 38 bed ED. We are seeking experienced and talented ED RNs with a minimum of 1-2 years or more recent ED experience to join our team! ACLS/PALS required. TNCC preferred. Please note, the "Trauma ED" area is staffed separately. Responsibilities: An all-professional nursing staff places an emphasis on patient/family teaching and primary nursing care. RN staff members assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in accordance with facility and departmental policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. The Registered Nurse utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of patients on his or her assigned unit. BHS Service Standards and support of healing environment are exhibited in all aspects of the Registered Nurse's performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. 2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data, patient, family and health team input. 3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. 4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revise the plan of care as needed. 5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. 6. Promotes professional development within delivery of care. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our Performance Standards each and every day. Qualifications: Must possess a current valid Arizona RN license or temporary Arizona RN license. Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired.
