Louisville, KY Job Description : LabCorp is seeking an experienced Histotechnician/Histotechnologist for our Louisville lab. This is a full time, second shift position working 11AM-7:30PM Monday-Friday.
Performs all technical duties related to the production of histo-pathological slides. Duties will include performing routine histology to include but not limited to embedding, microtomy, staining, and special stains adn will be responsible for ensuring histology slides are submitted tothe Pathologist in a timely manner. Will also be responsbile for operating processors, stainers, slide marker and recycler. Other duties include filing of slides and blocks and maintaining proper solutions in the equipment.
Job Requirements : Must have a minimum of one-two years documented experience in routine histology
Prefer ASCP-Ht registry
Must be able to work overtime
Must have an understanding of histology procedures as they relate to CAP |
