Operates equipment in the functional areas of photo, diffusion, thin films, etch, implant and cmp. Certify to set up, adjust, and operate per written specifications, one or more equipment sets in the functional areas of photo, diffusion, thin films, etch, implant, CMP and defect areas. WCVD, etc. Job assignment is determined by the Supervisor and is a reflection of business need. Operators may be asked to certify on tools across multiple functional areas. Inspects wafers per specifications and is alert to color changes, reflectivity differences, chips or cracks in wafers when loading and unloading equipment. Record data about equipment, lots, qualifications for data entry, lot tracking and process analysis. Understand and apply the basics of SPC(statistical process control) to ensure proper operation of the equipment and ensure only quality product is produced. Operate COMETS computer system to complete all transactions associated with wafer movement and equipment status, prioritize work, access specifications, obtain lot history, and other information as required. Deliver processed lots to the appropriate areas anywhere in the Fab. Travel distance could be up to 300 yards in each occurrence. Work in a team environment to meet production goals and expectations. Collect work for your area in the Fab to keep tools fully utilized. Travel distance could be up to 300 yards in each occurrence. Wear PPE(personal protective equipment) as specified when working with chemicals. Communicate with production, engineering, and maintenance personnel concerning manufacturing, process and equipment issues. Utilize proper wafer handling techniques at the equipment and to transport wafers throughout the Fab. May participate in PAT meetings and WAT team meetings to share knowledge geared towards continuous improvement and meeting company objectives. | | Mandatory Skills: | Manual coordination necessary to operate computer keyboard, vacuum wand, and wafer fabrication equipment. Ability to handle wafers and wafer containers according to specified guidelines. Knowledge of computers and ability to learn and operate company software. Ability to pass down information verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain certification on one or more of the area equipment sets: Ability to change into, out of and wear clean room attire and in general meet clean room standard operating requirements.
