at Banner Churchill Community Hospital

for a Clinical Educator

BCCH has the most diverse array of medical services in rural northern Nevada and employs more than 400 staff. We provide acute and emergency care, including an ambulance service.

We're located in Fallon (population is 27,000 within the county), an hour from Reno and only 90 minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe. Known as the "Oasis of Nevada", Churchill County is primarily an agricultural community with approximately 50,000 acres of irrigated farmland with water supplied by the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District.

This position will coordinate the orientation process of clinical new hires, including assessment of competence, and continuing educational needs as well as provides relevant continuing education and annual regulatory updates for clinical staff and initial training in tasks and functions as required. This position will also be the liaison for organization and local schools, colleges and universities regarding students and preceptors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed RN in current state of practice, bachelor's degree in nursing preferred advanced recent hospital experience in specialty area and a working knowledge of ancillary and support department responsibilities as well as recent experience in developing, teaching, and coordinating educational programs for adult learners. Must possess critical thinking skills with ability to prioritize needs rapidly. Excellent verbal/written communication and negotiation skills; problem solving ability, understanding of regulatory guidelines, policies, procedures and standards of practice.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with process improvement preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
