Job Title: Admissions Manager

Reports to: Director of Admissions

Location: Ashford University / Campus

Hours: Exempt

Department: Admissions

Classification: Full-time

Job Summary: The Admissions Manager is responsible for the organization and administration of various functions of a Campus Admissions Team.

Essential Functions:

  • Track student admission files through completion.
  • Responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the admission and matriculation of students.
  • Responsible for quality assurance and on-going internal review of transcript processing.
  • Provides administrative direction, support, and leadership of staff.
  • Plans and organizes visit days
  • Facilitate meetings in place of the Director of Admissions when necessary

Education and/or experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Employee management in a college administration environment is required. Previous experience in Admissions office preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Must have great organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow University policies and procedures balanced with the ability to apply good independent judgment.
  • Ability to motivate staff to meet performance goals.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to utilize student information systems to manage communication and work flow.
  • Ability to utilize reports to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of processes.

Physical Demands:

  • Limited physical effort required
  • Limited exposure to physical risk

Work Environment / Environmental Condition:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior / office work environment
  • Some travel may be required.
