Position Description:
Position is for a Manager to lead a software development support team supporting world-class file transfer software. This person will be responsible for managing team project portfolio and system lifecycle work. Oversees system and UAT testing including development and execution of test plans. Will manage team processes, procedures, and establish metrics to manage team and system performance. This position will require interaction with other support teams and all levels of management throughout organization. Candidate must understand technology industry trends and best practices to support company goals and alleviate business pressure points.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs
  • Monitor environment health and the facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity, including those who operate and monitor computer and peripheral equipment
  • Coordinate the efforts of all functions to complete scheduled jobs in a timely manner
  • Document all problems (hardware, application, facility, etc.) and take corrective action as required
  • Interface with other departments as required

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience with hands-on software development support and deployment
  • 3+ years experience creating and managing staff in a 24x7 software development and support
  • 2+ years experience in change management, developing metrics, and other ITIL disciplines
  • 2+ years experience with technical knowledge of file transfer solutions and protocols specifically Axway Synchrony or Tumbleweed
  • Proficient with Ms Office, Visio, and Project
  • Strong hands-on background
  • Strong understanding of project management principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • On-call availability
