Job Description:
Volt is currently recruiting for a Business Systems Consultant in the Denver area. Qualified candidates will act as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. Recommends and initiates systems testing. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

Job Requirements:
Looking for candidate that has experience as a Business Analyst with Reporting and Business Intelligence Experience. The role requires a passion for combining business requirements with a technical understanding of the system to help identify unique reporting solutions. This role combines the soft consulting / documentation skills of a Business Analyst with the technical aptitude of a data analyst. The ideal candidate must possess the following: 5 years of IT or equivalent experience including 3-5 years involvement in reporting, business intelligence, or data warehousing projects. Bachelor's degree. Strong consulting and presentation skills. Experience in identifying and documenting business requirements in a data warehouse environment. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong analytical, organizational, communication and project management skills. Ability to work independently and apply individual judgment and self-direction with limited supervision Knowledge of relational databases, data queries, and reports. Experience with Oracle, Business Objects and MS SQL Services preferred. Experience with Web presentation including knowledge of CSS, HTML and XML desired. Key Responsibilities: Gather, validate and document detailed data and reporting requirements down to the column level and report layout, in direct support of business requirements and priorities. Serve as a liaison between the MIS Reporting team and business stakeholders. Identification of data sources for the required data attributes Build relationships with business customers and IS project leads Assume the lead BA role for the enterprise Customer Communications Retrieval System Contact Center reporting is evolving with many stakeholders and IS technical leads and the incumbent must be an expert at navigating through a complex organization of resources without getting easily frustrated .
