Richmond Cardiology Associates is seeking a talented Medical Assistant for its Mechanicsville location. Become an integral part of our team, assisting our Physicians and Nurse Practitioners with providing the best possible quality cardiology care to our patients.

This position is responsible for performing basic patient pre-care, prior to seeing the Physician or NP, including EKGs, Pulse OX, and AccuCheck (blood sugar) tests. Performs patient triage from calls received to determine urgency of response, receives patient complaints, calls patients regarding test results and to schedule follow up appointments, calls in prescription refills and schedules hospital procedures.

Qualified candidates must be a high school graduate (or GED) and have a certificate in Medical Assistant studies. At least 1 year of experience working in a private practice preferred. BCLS (CPR certification) with AED (automated external defibrillator) also required.

Competitive pay and benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), Paid Time Off, great work environment and day shift only working hours. Cardiology practice experience preferred. Ability to handle varying workloads to meet patient needs. EOE.
