Sr. Financial Analyst
The candidate will support the global IS Finance function in daily activities. He/she is responsible for in-depth interpretation of current and projected operating and capital expenses and results and will be a key contributor to understanding and communicating the operating and capital expense performance of the IS function to the IS and company leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting and planning and reporting for the function of IS
- Complete close activities including required reconciliations, preparing journal entries and accruals, variance analysis and reporting
- Monthly reporting and analysis of worldwide operating expense and headcount results on a consolidated basis for IS & Finance management
- Overall management of the quarterly planning and forecasting process
- Support IS leadership with controlling and planning their expenses, and financial analysis as required
- Ensure financial policies and procedures are complied with and that adequate internal controls are in place
- Identify and escalate opportunities for continuous improvement
- Identify, communicate and monitor cost reduction opportunities across the IS organization
- Additional special projects as required
- Ad hoc reporting
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field with more than 7 years experience or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field with more than 3 years of relevant experience. CPA or MBA preferred. Strong computer skills and experience with SAP and Hyperion required. Experience auditing technology or medical instrument industry SEC filings (10-K and 10-Q) at a Big 4 public accounting firm. Ideal candidate should be self-motivated, a proven ability to consistently meet deadlines, and be eager to contribute to the success of the department and the company. Solid analytical, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills are required. Project management skills a plus.
