
Responsibilities/Description: The Human Resource Manager will provide the full complement of HR support to Dresser-Rand Services including talent management, organizational development, recruiting, change management, employee and labor relations, and compensation & benefits. The successful candidate for this position will serve as a coach and advisor to the leadership group for Dresser-Rand Services. This position is located in Houston, Texas & does not include relocation assistance.
Qualifications: Required: The legal authorization to work in the U.S. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial & Labor Relations or related degree A minimum of 7 years experience in Human Resources Direct experience including significant Labor Relations experience (i.e., contract negotiations, contract administration, grievance/arbitration handling, hiring hall arrangements, union avoidance), talent management, compensation & benefits, organizational development. The willingness and ability to travel up to 40% domestically.

Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications: Serve as trusted coach/advisor to department managers and their employees on all areas of Human Resource management. Lead employee relations in a proactive manner for each assigned group. Lead multiple employee engagement activities, including communications, recognition, employee development, customer focus, and leadership effectiveness. Lead compensation-related projects, including merit planning, compensation analysis, and incentive management. Drive change management activities, including leading and facilitating change workshops and advising management on change projects as they arise. Manage all aspects of employee relations on behalf of the Company by research/investigation, resolution and communication of any and all employment related issues with regard to employees at all levels of the organization and advise and assist senior management on employee relations issues. Direct the development and administration of Company-wide human resources policies, practices, and records in accordance with corporate objectives and state and federal law. Prepare and present HR metric data as needed. Provide insight, innovation, and implementation of concepts and initiatives that positively impact the employee experience from date of hire to last day of employment with regard to policies/practices, communications, information-sharing, recognition, performance management, organizational induction, and compensation/benefits Review and analyze arbitration decisions and collective bargaining contracts and assess industry trends and standards. Represent Company in union contract negotiations and grievance proceedings. Develop and maintain positive relations with unions and their representatives where applicable. Create and deliver presentations on the organization’s human resources policies and practices for management and non-management, as required.
