POSITION REQUIREMENTS Under the general direction of the Director of Transformational Care, the Data Analyst will be responsible for efficient and complete data abstraction and analysis with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from that data. Responsible for driving analysis and data reports for Transformational Care. The Data Analyst also works with the hospital Transformational Care Teams to sustain implementation and problem-solving initiatives.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Data Collection and Analysis:
• Collects manual data and time studies as needed
• Prepares and distributes daily metrics tool
• Aggregates and prepares daily metrics and identifies trends and root cause analysis of performance gaps
• Disaggregate major metrics to minor metrics and track those to understand trends or identify sources of performance issues
• Provides technical support for selected projects including data entry and display, using appropriate statistical process control methods.
• Reports to and updates Director on daily basis
• Actively supports and complies with CHW policies and Compliance Program.
• Performs other related performance improvement duties as requested.
• Participates in Lean training and understands change management initiatives.
• Navigates Hospital IT systems for data collection and management.
• Design of necessary web media and other related support materials related to TCI information and promotion.
• Responsibilities in team building, education and physician marketing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Certification, Registration, or Licensure: Master's degree or enrolled in program with completion date within two years, in business, healthcare, finance or related field.
2. Experience: Five years in health care arena - nursing, quality/risk systems, or other related healthcare.
3. Skills/ Abilities: Requires outstanding analytic abilities with knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft applications like Access, Excel, as well as applications such as Meditech, MIDAS, and other relevant systems; strong people networking skills, and a strong interest in and excitement about the use of quantitative tools in a dynamic problem-solving environment. Ability to use quality tools (flowchart, Pareto, run charts, control charts, fishbone diagrams) desirable.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Must display sound judgment, tact, discretion, and ability to develop and sustain a cooperative working relationship with all levels of associates and customers. This relationship interacts with CHW, physicians, and co-workers. The Data Analyst represents the Transformational Care Department to whom ever he/she comes in contact with and must act professionally and courteously.

1. Physical:
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods, write and use the
Computer terminal. Must be able to hear and speak over the telephone and in person with others.
2. Mental: Must be flexible in a demanding work environment. Must be able to
set priorities, use good judgment, and accept constructive suggestions. Must be able to assess situations in order to identify the cause, plan ways to resolve issues while maintaining dignity and self-esteem. Must be able to coordinate a variety of issues while handling frequent interruptions.
