Programmer / Analyst II
Job Description
Primary stechnical owner, which includes design, development, enhancement, documentation, and support of one or more internally developed or off the shelf (OTS) software applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides production support by proactively monitoring applications and seeking to improve application availability, quality, and performance by ensuring achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLA) and participating in required on-call support.
- Accountable for job scheduling and monitoring, performance management, data management, Operating System and application upgrades and patches, code and data migrations, and backup/recovery.
- Accountable for technical issue resolution including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction.

- Develops solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Has a general knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the technological environment.
- Works under general supervision regarding the direction and progress of projects and special assignments. Receives limited instruction on standard issues, and detailed instructions on new assignments. Follows standard procedures requiring some interpretation of established policies, procedures and practices. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.
Position Qualification:
2 - 4 Years with BS or 0 - 2 Years with MS
Additional requirements and responsibilities unique to this position:
Cognos report writing experience required
Cognos administration experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal Software Development Life Cycle experience (Water fall)
Previous manufacturing IT experience
