Drafting Modeler I Position responsible for preparing all models and fabrication drawings of tubular pole structures and related hardware using SolidWorks software. Key Responsibilities: *Prepare models and drawings on computer system under minimum supervision, working from verbal and written instruction, marked prints, sketches and engineering design calculations. *Discuss project require- ments directly with persons for whom the work is being done. *Work with fabrication facilities to resolve any problems arising during fabrication. *Perform other duties and accept responsibilities to insure success of department. Minimum Position Requirements: *Successful completion of SolidWorks training program; minimum 2 years experience using the software. Experience in design of steel fabrica- tion a plus. *Familiar with drafting standard symbols, nomenclature, reference books and catalogs encountered in product development. *Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, verbally and written. *Bachelors degree in Engineering or 3 years minimum work experi- ence in similar field.
