Location and team

Our Telecommunications Consulting team offers solutions from the boardroom to the switch room. Our customized services focus on strategic planning, market trend evaluations, and infrastructure and systems analysis, design and implementation to meet the needs of our clients, which include electric, gas, and water utilities; telecommunications carriers and mobile carriers; private corporate network operators; and federal, state, and local governments. We are seeking telecommunications professionals for work to be conducted in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. This position is based out of our Fairfax, VA offices.

Tasks may include

Consulting work to be performed may include:

• Traffic modeling and forecasting
• Network design
• RF propagation
• Telecommunications regulations and licensing
• Telecom systems procurement and implementation
• Telecommunications operations
• Rate and tariff development
• Business planning

What we're asking

• 15+ years experience in telecommunications planning, engineering and implementation
• BA/BS Degree in appropriate discipline; Master’s Degree preferred
• Proven track record of project successful project performance
• Fluency with verbal and written communications in English

Specific Technology / Systems background required:
• Smart Grid Communications
• Substations Communications
• Fiber Optic, SONET, Next Gen SONET
• Microwave, Digital & Analog
• LMR, UHF, VHF, 800Mhz, 900Mhz
• Wireless Data Systems including WiFi, & WiMAX
• Cellular (CDMA, GSM, TDMA)
• MAS

Specific operations knowledge required:

• Utility Communications
• Telecommunications carrier
• Mobile carrier
• Private network operator

Specific project skills required include:

• Project planning and budgeting
• Resource coordination & deployment
• Deliverable development and presentation


Specific Software familiarity required:

• MS Office Suite, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point
• MS Project,
• MS Visio
• NetPlan or other network-planning tool


This is a US-based position; applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. Local candidates preferred.
