Loss Prevention Group Manager

Burke's Outlet has an immediate opening for a Loss Prevention Group Manager for the SE Louisiana Market (Including Algiers, Baton Rouge, Cutoff, Houma, La Place, Lafayette, Bayou Vista and New Iberia).

This is a full-time, salaried position which include supervising the Loss Prevention Agents (8-10 stores), assigning and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. The Loss Prevention Manager assists management in the implementation, coordination and administration of the company Loss Prevention policies, programs and practices within the stores, and is responsible for the reduction of financial loss to the stores. This position involves multi-store responsibility.

This position requires day and overnight travel.

Job Responsibilities:

Investigates internal and external loss. Oversees LP audits of area stores on a regular basis; notifies proper management of inventory inconsistencies or suspicious activities. Trains store personnel in the prevention and detection of potential loss. Apprehends and detains shoplifters; notifies appropriate Loss Prevention personnel and proper authorities of illegal or dishonest activities; completes necessary reports and documentation. May be called to appear in court and testify on behalf of the Company. Monitors all physical controls including alarms, closed circuit TV and ink tagging compliance to maximize effectiveness.

Experience:

  • MUST have minimum of 2 years Loss Prevention supervisory experience. Only applicants with this qualification will be considered.
  • Wicklander Certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, store associates and customers.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings including a background check.
