Description : Position Summary: Drafting, negotiating, structuring, and managing contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or other partners. Reviewing and approving documents for protection of the company's contractual posture and adherence to company policy.
Prepare, draft, negotiate, process and track nondisclosure agreements, software licenses and other contracts. Coordinate with sales and business units to obtain necessary information and approvals. Assist with file administration and file room management. Assist with the implementation and ongoing management of a contracts management database system, including handling data entry and reporting functions.
Previous experience as a legal assistant, paralegal or related experience of a minimum of five years is desired. Position entails working in a fast-paced team environment with heavy workload. Specific and technical knowledge of contract types, methods and procedures, basic principles of contract law, contract administration and related computer/database applications is required. Job Requirements : BA degree preferred - J.D. not required but may apply Direct experience in technology industry strongly preferred. Minimum 6 - 10 years contract management experience required. Industry (Technology) experience preferred.
· Must have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written. · Must have excellent follow-up skills and ability to meet aggressive deadlines. · Must have excellent negotiation / persuasive skills to enable successful conclusion of contracts. · Must have excellent problem solving skills to resolve complex issues and balance customer demands. · Must be able to offer advice on customer/vendor and contractual issues to internal groups and senior management. · Must have the ability to find alternative solutions to contractual issues as they arise in contract negotiations. · Needs the ability to look at a problem from various points of view to present all sides of the topic/issue.
