Product Marketing Manager - Optics
SUMMARY
Our client is a fast-growing leader in providing precision electrical interface ICs for fiber-optic transceivers and transponders for long-haul and metro telecom systems. We are currently seeking a Product Marketing Engineer who will provide Product Marketing Leadership for a leading provider of electronic engines for the optically connected digital world. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, they will provide support for Marketing and Sales efforts for global markets. Position is open to technical people eager and willing to make the jump to product marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and define new products.
Research market, identity opportunities and develop business cases.
Provide analysis of new design and competitor products in the marketplace.
Define market strategy and follow through with execution.
Project management of product development.
Manage NPI process gate approvals.
Serve as the marketing lead for products during their development.
Be the interface between Sales/Marketing and Technical.
Assist with technical product reviews.
Coordinate product clarification and instructions.
Monitor and manage sales goals, margins, COGS, P&L.
Create and review marketing technical materials, product collateral literature and Website technical/product information.
REQUIREMENTS
Good understanding of optical telecommunications space.
Technical degree preferably with 3+ years experience in high speed RF
Experience in product/technical marketing position a plus
MBA a plus
